The rolling countryside stretches as far as the Drôme and conceals some treasures of traditional and medieval architecture such as the abbey at Saint Antoine.

St-Antoine

Its magnificent abbey church is the gothic jewel of Dauphiné and contains France's second largest collection of reliquaries. The entire medieval town is well worth visiting for its attractive gardens, monastic buildings and medieval courtyards.

St-Marcellin

This town lies the foot of the Vercors Regional Park, with the ever-changing colours of the Chambaran forest as a backdrop. It is best known for the cheese that bears its name. Originally it was a goat's milk tomme cheese but now it is made only from cow's milk.
